ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This series of 6 photographs emerges from the encounter between three artistic practices. Tattoo art that unfolds over time, photography that captures here a constantly evolving work, and Sabrina the model, who is not merely a passive support.
Her posture, her gaze or absence of gaze guides us through Caroline Karénine’s work, whose compositions blend ornamental references and figurative motifs.
Through her photographic work, Ségolène seeks to sublimate bodies, to evoke a subtle sensuality, devoid of any vulgarity.
Her technique around blur and light immerses us in a sensitive universe, where the viewer’s imagination is invited to extend what is only suggested.
These original prints constitute objects in themselves, each with its own story, its own imperfections.

WASHI KOZO PAPER

The Kozo paper used for these prints is made according to a traditional Japanese technique, recognized by UNESCO’s intangible heritage.
Its long mulberry fibers give it a particular texture and superior resistance compared to standard Western papers.
